About Bella Terra Landscapes & Garden Center

Ellendale wakes slowly, the loblolly pines along Route 16 still holding the night's damp while the first trucks turn toward Georgetown. Bella Terra Landscapes & Garden Center keeps the lawns of this pine-and-cornfield corner of Sussex County, where the ground runs sandy and the summer comes on humid and long. Mowing here means reading the week's rain — the flush of green after a July storm, the slower growth when August turns dry. Every yard gets its edges cut clean along the walk and the drive, and every clipping blown back off the concrete before the trailer gate goes up. By the time the light goes gold over the fields toward Milton, the stripes are laid and the place looks like somebody paid attention.
