RLM Lawn Cutting Service

About RLM Lawn Cutting Service

By August the fields between Dover and Camden stand shoulder-high in corn, and the day's heat hangs on well past supper. RLM Lawn Cutting Service runs its routes through that heavy stretch of the year, cutting grass where the subdivisions end and the farm ground picks up — Camden, Wyoming, Woodside, the streets along Dover's south side. Cutting is the plain name for the trade and the plain truth of it: arrive on schedule, take the height down evenly, reach the corners a mower can't, sweep the drive and move on. A thunderhead can build over the western fields and be overhead in twenty minutes, so the mornings get used properly. The payoff is a whole street of yards that look kept, which is how a neighborhood tells you what it thinks of itself.
