About Mike's Lawn Care Services

One mile of banked concrete on the west side of town turns Dover into a different city for a couple of weekends a year, and then the crowds go home and Kent County settles back into farm-flat quiet. Mike's Lawn Care Services keeps the everyday version running: subdivisions out along the highway, older streets closer in, lawns that need cutting whether or not anything loud is happening across town. June is the hard month, when warm nights and thick coastal air push growth faster than anyone plans for, and the mowers run long into the afternoon. String trimming around fences and posts, edging the drive, clearing the cuttings off the walk — small motions that add up to a yard somebody is glad to pull into. A full route day has a rhythm to it that feels less like chores and more like something built.
