About Browns Landscaping Services

Late-summer mornings along the St. Jones come in under a low sheet of marsh fog, and the tidewater smell reaches a good way inland before the sun burns it off. Browns Landscaping Services is out in it, cutting grass that grew fast in the humidity and needs a firm hand to look right again. Down here the land lies nearly level to the bay, so an edge is the only real line a yard has — worth cutting straight, worth cutting every time. Trim tight to the fence posts, blow the walks clean, and the property looks cared for from the road, which is the point. The work carries north toward Little Creek and Leipsic and up to Smyrna and Cheswold, following the flat roads out through corn and cordgrass.
