About SML Services

Winter finds the low spots first, pooling cold in the low ground while the higher streets are still only dusted. SML Services keeps its hours there — plowing driveways and lots in the dark, opening the tight turnarounds tucked behind houses, laying sand where a steep grade meets the road. Walks and steps get shoveled and treated too, because an open drive with a glazed stoop is only half a job. Wind can undo an hour of work in ten minutes, so the truck comes back around. There is real pride in a driveway pushed square to its edges with the banks stacked neat, waiting before the first car door swings open. By the time the fog lifts, the place looks like the storm went around it.
