About Charles Johnson & Son Lawncare

Out toward Northwest Park the tobacco netting still goes up white over the fields, and on a July afternoon it glows like a low cloud caught at the edge of your eye. Charles Johnson & Son Lawncare works the neighborhoods around those fields, mowing on the week, edging drives and sidewalks, trimming the places a mower deck can't follow, and clearing leaf and debris at both ends of the season. A shade-grown town teaches you what light does to grass — where it burns, where it thins, and where it wants a higher cut come August. The work is unglamorous and completely visible: anyone driving past can see a lawn that has been kept. That is the standard here, and it holds all summer.
