On a February night along Palisado Avenue the streetlights go orange in the falling snow and the whole green disappears under it. That is the hour AMD Landscape LLC is out — plowing, clearing walks, spreading salt so the first door that opens at daybreak opens onto bare pavement. Come April the same trucks trade blades for mowers, and the work turns to grass: cutting, trimming, spring and fall cleanups, the long green middle of the Windsor year. It is a landscaping and snow business shaped by a town that gets both extremes and hides neither. The reward is simple and worth showing up for — a driveway you can walk down in boots, and a lawn you can walk across barefoot.
