About Chets Landscaping and Snowplowing LLC

The old canal runs straight and black beside the Connecticut in Windsor Locks, and when a storm crosses it the wind has nothing at all to slow it down. Chets Landscaping and Snowplowing LLC works those nights — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and steps by hand, salting the glaze that forms where river fog freezes onto pavement. Planes keep coming and going over the town in the middle of it, which has a way of reminding you that people need to get out come morning. So the drives get opened while it is still dark. Nothing about the night is comfortable, and nothing feels better than the last one finished.
