Snowmelt in Winchester runs downhill to the Still River, and for a couple of weeks in April the whole town is soft and brown and about to turn. jhlandscaping starts there with the spring cleanup — sand raked out of the turf, winter debris cleared, beds cut back and mulched — and then the mowing begins and does not stop until the leaves are down. Through the season it is the weekly cut, a trimmed line at every post and wall, and feeding to hold color into the hot part of summer. Autumn is leaf removal done thoroughly, because a lawn left buried under oak leaves comes out of winter badly. The payoff is grass in May that looks like nobody had to work for it.
