Wilton earns its canopy — tulip poplars and oaks along Ridgefield Road that hold half the lawns in dappled shade straight through summer. Tall Trees Landscaping mows underneath them, easing the cutting height for thin grass beneath the big crowns and trimming around trunks and surface roots without scarring anything. Out toward Woodcock Nature Center the yards give way to woods, and the boundary between the two is exactly where trimming earns its keep. Fall is the long haul here: leaf cleanup by the truckload, taken in stages so the turf never disappears under it. April's cleanup restarts the whole cycle, and the mowing carries it the rest of the way.
