Surmount Contractors

About Surmount Contractors

When a storm parks over central Connecticut, Silas Deane Highway narrows to a single set of tracks and the neighborhoods off Goff Brook disappear under it. Surmount Contractors runs snow removal through those nights in Wethersfield — plowing lots and driveways, clearing walkways and entries, and putting down salt and sand once the pavement starts showing. The town lies flat and open to the river wind, so drifting is as much the problem as depth. There is a satisfaction to the last pass, headlights on a clean surface, banks pushed back where they belong. Then the sky clears, the plow comes off the truck, and Wethersfield gets on with its morning.
