Snow comes to Westbrook twice — once in the woods north of town, where it stays white for days, and once down at Chapman Beach, where the salt air is already working on it by noon. Green Team Lawn Care meets both, plowing driveways and clearing walks so a morning can start on time. The rest of the year the trucks carry mowers instead, cutting and trimming lawns from the Post Road out toward the beach roads. There is a plain joy in a straight stripe across a level yard, and another in a driveway opened at four in the morning. The town changes its clothes; the care behind the work does not.
