About Cornelius Lawn and Garden

October settles on the West Haven Green and the old shade trees begin letting go. Cornelius Lawn and Garden works the streets around it — mowing, trimming, keeping a lawn tidy while the leaves come down at their own pace. Winter brings the other half of the year: plowing driveways and clearing walks so a front step is a front step again by breakfast. It is unglamorous work, and it is much of the reason a block looks looked-after. Every yard in this city has its own shape, and the aim is to make each one read as though someone paid attention.
