Yards & More

About Yards & More

The storm usually shows itself first as rain over Alewife Cove, then turns to sleet, then to snow somewhere on the climb up Quaker Hill. Yards & More watches that change and starts the trucks. Plowed driveways, cleared walkways, salt worked into the spots that glaze over after dark: the list is short and the standard is simple, which is to get people out in the morning. There is a good feeling in a lot scraped down to bare pavement while the flakes are still falling. Waterford takes a lot of weather off the water, and somebody has to be awake for it.
