Superior Lawn Care

About Superior Lawn Care

There is one particular week in mid-June when Wallingford grass hits its peak — thick, deep green, holding a stripe like carpet. Getting a lawn there is a matter of small disciplines: sharp blades, the right height for the weather, a route that returns on the same day every week, trimming that follows the curve of a walk instead of fighting it. The season's work is mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup for yards all over town, from the streets near MacKenzie Reservoir out to the newer neighborhoods on the hills. Fall brings the leaves and the last low cut of the year; spring brings the rake-out and fresh mulch. No lawn ever stays solved — it asks again in seven days — and that is exactly the appeal.
