About Fernandez Lawn Care LLc

Torrington sits high enough that spring shows up a week or two late, the Naugatuck still cold and quick where it comes down through town past the brick blocks on Main Street. Fernandez Lawn Care LLc mows and edges the lawns on the hills around it — the tight yards on the numbered streets, the wider ones out past Coe Memorial Park toward open Litchfield country. Short season, hard growth: the grass comes on all at once in late May and does not let up until the first hard frost. Trimming around stone steps, fence posts and old walls is the slow half of every job, and the half that shows. The last thing that happens is the sweep — walk cleared, drive clean, the lawn holding its lines.
