About Finescape and Sons

Turn of River sits on ground that never quite lies flat; every driveway out there is a small hill with an opinion about ice. Finescape and Sons carries the map of those hills in their heads — which one crowns, which one drains toward the front door, which one the Merritt Parkway overpass shades until well past noon. A storm night means the first clearing, then the return trip near midnight to take back whatever the wind refilled. Walks scraped down to pavement, steps opened wide enough for a mail carrier, salt on the pitch where a car would otherwise slide. Snow work in Stamford is mostly patience and second passes, and both are on offer here.
