About Landino Landscaping

There is a week in Southington when the last of the leaf piles are still going out and the first hard frost silvers the grass along Flanders Road — and Landino Landscaping simply turns the work over with it, trading mower decks for plow blades. The rest of the year belongs to the making: landscape design and plantings, hardscape installation and repair, retaining walls set stone by stone, lawn mowing held to a crisp line through the valley's long green months, pruning and trimming, stump removal, driveway sealing. Under the traprock ridges that hem this valley in, the light arrives late over the hills and leaves early, so a yard here has to look right in one narrow, slanting hour — and it does. Residential and commercial properties across Southington and the neighboring central-Connecticut towns carry the proof of it: an edge that holds, a bed that reads clean from the street, a drive opened wide and quiet before the town is awake.
