Yard Runners

About Yard Runners

There is an hour after a South Windsor snowfall when the whole town is still, the side streets buried, the sand-terrace flats out east one long unbroken white sheet with no tire tracks anywhere in it. Yard Runners exists for what happens next: plows down, driveways opened, walks and steps cleared so people can get out into the day. Snow here can arrive wet and heavy off the river or dry and blowing across the fields, and each kind wants a different pass. The job is measured in doors that swing open and cars that back out without a fight. Easy to describe, and genuinely good to finish.
