Ground Control Landscaping

About Ground Control Landscaping

Some mornings the fog off the Connecticut River fills the low fields of South Windsor right to the fence tops, and a crew working in it looks like it is mowing the edge of a cloud. The fog burns off, the calendar keeps turning, and the same properties come to need two completely different kinds of care. Green months: mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, bed and shrub upkeep, spring cleanups and fall leaf removal. White months: plowing driveways and lots, snowblowing, clearing walks and entries by hand, and salting or sanding ice. Holding the ground steady in both directions is the point, and the reward is a property that never looks like it was let go.
