Pazzaglia Snow Removal

About Pazzaglia Snow Removal

Salem is mostly woods and pasture, and when a storm comes over the hills the town goes silent by inches. Pazzaglia Snow Removal is out in that silence: the long gravel-shouldered drives off Witch Meadow Road, the lanes running down toward Gardner Lake, the lots at the Four Corners where Route 85 meets 82. Snow drifts one way across an open horse field and another under hemlocks, and a plow route gets planned around exactly that. By the time the sky turns grey-blue and the first pickup rolls past, the driveways are open and the banks pushed back far enough to hold the next one. Winter work, in a town that gets a real winter.
