About Ridgefield Gutter Works LLC

An August thunderstorm climbs in from the west, crests the ridge, and for ten minutes every roof in Fairfield County is a small watershed. Ridgefield Gutter Works is in the business of directing that water: cleaning, maintenance and installation of gutters and downspouts, 5 and 6 inch seamless runs in aluminum or copper, and copper half-round for the houses that carry that line well. Underground drainage systems take the water on from the base of the downspout and carry it out away from the foundation. Come winter the work shifts to snow and ice removal along the roof edges, where the trouble starts. Copper begins penny-bright and goes soft green, and there is a real pleasure in hanging something that ages that well.
