Where Ridgefield's southeast corner runs down into Georgetown, the old mill village along the Norwalk River, the properties get long and irregular — sloped lawns, wooded back acreage, stone walls doing half the fencing. Palazzo Landscaping, Inc. covers the whole arc of that ground. Through the season it is mowing and edging, fertilization and weed control, core aeration and overseeding to thicken thin spots, plus garden bed care, mulching, pruning, planting and weeding so the beds never get away from anyone. When a lawn needs starting over they grade and prepare the soil and lay sod or seed, then set planting plans of trees, shrubs and perennials around it. The heavier equipment handles precision excavation and trenching for patios, foundations, drainage and utility lines, along with tree removal, stump grinding, brush clearing and health-minded pruning. In stone, brick and pavers they build patios, walkways and walls chosen to sit with the house rather than argue with it. After a big storm they come back for the cleanup, and in winter the plow keeps the same drives open.
