Imperial Lawn

About Imperial Lawn

At dusk in Ridgefield the deer step out of the wood line as though they hold the deed, and by morning the hostas are stems. Imperial Lawn works that boundary between yard and forest: deer repellent applied so the ornamentals keep their leaves, and tick control through the tall grass and leaf litter along the edge where ticks actually live. Their lawn care is a feeding program rather than a mowing crew — the right nutrients, in the right quantities, at the right point in the year, with fungicide and core aeration when the turf asks for them. They do not cut lawns, and that narrowness is the whole idea: the turf gets fed, the trees and ornamental shrubs get care of their own, and somebody else pushes the mower. What a family notices is color that holds and a yard they can walk into barefoot.
