They plant shrubs and trees, prune them into shape, lay masonry and patios, and set drainage systems into ground that would rather hold water than let it go. A water garden is their other pleasure: a waterfall spilling over stone, koi turning beneath the aquatic flora, a fountain running in a corner that used to be nothing at all.
