The Newtown Tree Service

About The Newtown Tree Service

The flagpole stands in the middle of Main Street, and the big trees on either side of it have framed that view for as long as the road has run there. The Newtown Tree Service works from Ram Pasture down through Sandy Hook along the Pootatuck, with tree removal, trimming and pruning for the village lots and the deep-woods properties past them. In a January thaw the ground softens and every crack in a leaning trunk shows dark against the bark, which makes it the season to deal with what has been waiting. When ice loads the branches and something comes down across a back road, cleanup means the wood off the pavement first and the yard set right after. A street that keeps its canopy, and keeps it sound, is the result worth working toward.
