The flagpole stands right in the middle of Newtown's Main Street, and everything in town seems to take its bearing from there — the long shaded run of the road, the deep front lawns, the stone walls set back beneath the trees. Altatrim LLC keeps those lawns mown, edged and hand-trimmed through the green months, with a clearing-out in spring and another once the leaves let go. Main Street yards are wide and public, and a missed line shows to everyone who drives past. So the work slows where it has to: hand trimming at the wall, edging the walk, blowing the drive clean before leaving. Newtown looks best when nobody can point to why.
