About Rizzo Snow

At three in the morning the Berlin Turnpike is a long orange corridor with nothing moving on it but plows. Rizzo Snow keeps Newington driveways, walkways and lots open through those hours — pushing back the storm, clearing entrances by hand, laying down salt where meltwater will run and refreeze. The town lies flat on the Connecticut valley floor, so the wind has room to move snow around after you have already moved it once. The answer is going back. By breakfast the drives are clear and the night's work has disappeared into an ordinary Tuesday.
