The state line runs just west of New Milford, and after a hard October blow the work follows it in both directions — Pawling and Patterson, Brewster, Carmel, Mahopac and Yorktown, then back through Ridgefield and Newtown. Walter Landscaping & Tree Services handles the storm clean-up that weather like that leaves behind: tree removal, branch removal, pruning and trimming, lot clearing, emergency calls at odd hours. The rest of the year is lawn maintenance, mulching, weed control, fertilization, seasonal clean-ups, planting, garden design and restoration, irrigation and landscape design. Hardscape too — patios, retaining walls, walkways and pathways, driveway pavers, steps and staircases, outdoor kitchens and fireplaces. December brings snow plowing and salting, and Christmas lighting hung while the ladders are already out. The satisfaction is in a property that reads as one piece: wall, path, planting, and the clean line where the lawn meets all of it.
