November light comes in low across the Housatonic hills and every drystone wall in the woods shows its courses, the old ones laid by hand a long way back. County Grounds & Company works in that lineage — stone masonry, and paver, bluestone and concrete hardscapes, walkways and concrete repairs set to sit true through frost and thaw. They also move the ground underneath it all, with excavation, grading and utilities, tree removal and storm clean-up, and drainage where a hillside sends water the wrong way. Through the year it is routine maintenance, mulching, trimming and pruning, spring and fall clean-ups, irrigation repairs and installations, and night lighting that keeps a walk usable after dark.
