Country Doctor Lawn & House Care

About Country Doctor Lawn & House Care

Late in October the oaks along New Fairfield's hill roads let go all at once, and by the first hard rain every gutter in town is filled to the lip. That is the moment Country Doctor Lawn & House Care lives for: ladders up, troughs scooped clean, downspouts running loud and clear again while the water goes where it was always meant to go. The other half of the year belongs to the pressure hose — siding chalky with pollen, a north wall gone green in the shade, walkways dulled by a winter of grit, all of it brought back to the color it started as. They work New Fairfield and out across the surrounding towns of southwestern Connecticut, house by house along the ridges. There is a particular satisfaction in driving away from a place that suddenly looks like somebody is paying attention to it.
