About O'Donnell Landscaping, LLC

Monroe still wears its old walls — fieldstone lines running off into second-growth woods on the Bagburn Hill slopes where pasture used to be — and O'Donnell Landscaping works in something like that same grammar, only now it is interlocking retaining walls holding a grade steady behind a house. October is the full end of the year: cleanups across residential lawns and parking lots alike, beds weeded and pruned back, mulch turned fresh, lime and fertilizer going down while the soil is still warm enough to take them. Patios and walkways get set for the years of use ahead, irrigation systems get put to bed, and slice seeding and core aeration go in while the nights are cool and the mornings hold dew long enough for germination. Through the warm months tick spray keeps the shaded edges of a Fairfield County yard walkable, and property maintenance carries the ordinary weeks in between, week after unremarkable week, which is how a lawn gets to look effortless. When the first plowable storm finally arrives, the same trucks come back down the same driveways for snow removal.
