About Kelly Landscaping

Academy Hill holds the oldest bones of Stratford — narrow lots, tall clapboard houses, front lawns that have been mowed by somebody or other for a very long time. Kelly Landscaping works those small, particular yards, where the mower has to be handled with some sense and the edge along the sidewalk is half the impression the house makes. October is the season that tests it, when the maples along Main Street give up all at once and every lawn needs clearing twice before the ground goes hard. Trimming keeps the picket lines and stone walls looking deliberate rather than overgrown. It's unglamorous, weekly, neighborly work, and a tidy old lawn on a historic street is its own kind of argument for doing it well.
