Snow arrives differently on the Sound. It comes in wet and heavy off the water, glazes the boats in Milford Harbor, and settles thick across the driveways between Walnut Beach and the long town green. CourSell Construction is out in it before the second plow pass — driveways and lots opened, walkways shoveled down to the surface, salt laid where damp coastal air likes to turn a path to glass. By the time the harbor edge turns pink, the cars are moving. There is real satisfaction in that: a street of cleared aprons and a town that got where it was going.
