Cross Cuts Landscaping starts a project indoors, though — an on-site walk first, then 2D and 3D renderings, so you can stand inside the future patio before a single stone is set. Then the crew builds it: patios, walkways, retaining walls and outdoor kitchens, new lawns put in from bare ground, flowers and shrubs and ground cover placed to frame a house properly. Between the projects run the ordinary faithful things — mowing, fertilization, aeration, weed control, spring and fall cleanups, French drains and surface drainage where the water has been going wrong, tree removal and stump grinding where a trunk has outlived the yard. Come December the trucks turn to plowing and ice management on Connecticut commercial lots, and the round starts over.
