About Anita's Landscaping LLC

The Connecticut River makes the weather in Middletown as much as it makes the view — cold slides down the valley, fog sits on the water below the Arrigoni Bridge, and a storm that falls as rain in New Haven comes down white here. Anita's Landscaping LLC plows through it, working driveways on the hills above Main Street and lots on the flats, then shoveling steps and walks by hand where a blade cannot reach. Main Street is broad enough to clear quickly; the side streets and the pitched drives above it are the real labor of any storm. There is pride in getting somebody out on time — the plow through before the alarm, the sand down on the shaded turn that never sees January sun. When a storm finally quits, the town looks new for an hour, and the trucks are still moving.
