Lucas's Lawn And Landscape

About Lucas's Lawn And Landscape

October on the ledges near the Nipmuck Trail turns the whole ridge to rust and gold, and every bit of it eventually lands on somebody's lawn. Lucas's Lawn And Landscape is there for the clearing — blowing and hauling leaves off the turf while they are still dry enough to move, then cutting the beds clean for winter. The warm months are mowing and trimming on a set rhythm, edges kept sharp along the walk, mulch renewed where it has gone pale. Spring means opening the property back up, pulling out branches and matted leaf litter so the grass can find the sun. In a town this wooded, a well-kept lawn is a small clearing somebody made on purpose.
