About Towne & Aurell Inc

There is a particular hush on Litchfield's Green after a night of snow, when the big houses along North Street stand back behind unbroken white and nothing has crossed it yet. Towne & Aurell Inc gets out ahead of that quiet — plowing, clearing walkways, spreading sand and salt across the drives and lots that have to be usable by morning. Winter is long and serious at this elevation; a storm finished in Bantam can still be coming down over Milton and the shoulder of Mount Tom. Working it takes patience and a willingness to run the loop one more time than seems necessary. A town this handsome deserves to be dug out neatly, and that is the standard the work is held to.
