About D & D Enterprises

The Quinebaug comes down to meet the Shetucket at the bottom of Lisbon, and in a hard freeze both rivers go quiet and steam in the cold. D & D Enterprises handles the snow above them — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks, spreading sand and salt where traffic packs it to glass. Storms track up the river valley here and drop wet, heavy snow, the kind a plow has to take in two bites instead of one. Working the small hours and finishing before the first commuters reach Route 12 is essentially the whole job. Lisbon is a small town, and an open driveway at daybreak is a plain, useful thing to hand somebody.
