April reaches Lebanon through the fields first, a green so new it looks borrowed, and that is the narrow window for putting a lawn in. Grabber Construction LLC seeds then and again in fall — hydro seeding, or traditional seed and straw if that is what a customer would rather have, with starter fertilizer worked in so the young grass has something to feed on. The landscape side runs to retaining walls and plantings, designed for the slope a property actually has instead of the one it wishes it had. The excavation side runs deeper: perc test digs, septic replacement and water treatment wastewater systems, drainage from a gutter line to a curtain drain, and site work carried from cellar hole through to a finished driveway rolled flat. Then the year turns, and commercial snow and ice management takes over the calendar across eastern Connecticut.
