About D. Rich Stone & Chimney LLC

Killingworth wakes slowly under snow, Route 81 climbing north out of the town green with the woods on either side holding the storm where it fell. D. Rich Stone & Chimney LLC works the hours before the town does, when plow lights are the only color moving on Roast Meat Hill Road. Snow here does not arrive politely: it drifts across long rural driveways and packs hard where the ledge shoulders the pavement. The work is plain and satisfying — a driveway opened end to end, a walkway shoveled down to its own surface, sand and salt laid on the grade that wants to send a car sideways. By the time the kitchen windows go yellow, the way out is clear and the day can start on time.
