About D’s Lawn & Landscape LLC

Four in the morning in Killingworth, and plow lights are the only thing moving on the roads that thread Cockaponset State Forest. D's Lawn & Landscape LLC runs both halves of the year here — plowing, shoveling, salting and sanding driveways through winter, then mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups once the ground softens. The town's long wooded driveways drift badly and hold ice under the hemlocks well after the open fields have let go. Opening a drive before somebody's first cup of coffee is its own small, quiet accomplishment. Come June those same driveways get a mown border crisp enough to set a level on.
