About KAC Construction

By February, Alexander's Lake has gone white and silent, and the cold sitting over it slides downhill into every driveway in Killingly. KAC Construction meets that cold early, clearing drives and walks before the town is properly awake and putting the pile where it will not block the view pulling out. Storms in this corner of Connecticut arrive in odd shapes — a foot of dry powder one week, four wet heavy inches the next — and each has to be read before the blade goes down. What the work is after is simple and hard to fake: bare pavement, a clean line where the plow meets the lawn, a house that can get on with its day. On the still morning after a storm, with the ridge white to the treeline, an opened driveway is the first sign the day is going to work out.
