About Be Happy Landscaping LLC

Hartland sits high and wooded at the northwest corner of Hartford County, where the road climbs through the Tunxis State Forest and morning light arrives late, over the ridge, in long green bars. Be Happy Landscaping LLC works in the beds below that treeline: garden design and garden maintenance, planting shrubs and perennials and annuals, vegetables and containers, and the ornamental pruning that gives a lilac or a hemlock its shape back. There is a real pleasure in a June morning of weeding and mulching, when the bed goes dark and even and every stem stands clear of the soil. Landscape restoration is the slower joy — a garden gone to bramble, opened up again, handed back its bones. Seasonal clean-up carries the same attention into October, when the maples let go all at once and a yard has to be gathered in. The work runs south and east from Hartland through Granby and East Granby, Suffield, Simsbury, Canton and Collinsville, Avon, Farmington, Bloomfield and West Hartford.
