Loftus Plowing

About Loftus Plowing

Once the wind gets up across open ground, snow stops falling and starts moving, and a cleared drive does not stay cleared for long. Loftus Plowing works the drifting around Hartford — driveways pushed back to full width, a clean apron cut at the road, the exposed places gone over twice because the wind will fill them once. Four in the morning is nothing but blade sound, blowing white, and the glow of the next porch light. Steps and walks get cleared and treated as well, since ice on a north-facing step is what actually puts people down. It is cold, ordinary, necessary work, and the road out is open when it counts.
