About Sachem Landscaping

Out at Sachem's Head the wind comes off the water salted and steady, and whatever grows there has earned its place. Sachem Landscaping works Connecticut's shoreline from Clinton westward, opening each year with spring clean ups that strip winter out of the beds and closing it with fall clean ups once the leaves have quit. In between there is mowing on a regular turn, mulching, seeding for thin ground, planting, hedge trimming that gives a border its shape back, and bush and tree removal when something has plainly outgrown its corner. Lab soil testing tells them what the dirt is actually short of, so the feeding and the seed are aimed rather than guessed at. Snow removal carries the same properties through the cold stretch. Green arrives slower this close to salt water — it simply holds on longer.
