About Thompson Landscape Improvement, Inc.

October turns Village Place the color of cider, and it is the season when the ground finally shows what a property is made of — ledge, glacial till, a slope that has been aiming water at the foundation all along. Thompson Landscape Improvement, Inc. works from that level up: site development, excavation with bulldozer, backhoe and skidsteer, drainage solutions, erosion control, trenching, lot clearing and finish grading. Above the dirt come the stone and hardscapes — paver driveways, brick walks, patios and pool patios, retaining walls, and the rejuvenation of old stairs and walkways gone uneven. They design and install fencing in ornamental aluminum, vinyl, wood and chain link, pool fencing included, and they carry the lawn side as well: weekly mowing, edging, aerating, thatching and overseeding, blown-in mulch, planting design, spring and fall cleanups with the haul. Then the cold comes and the same crews handle snow and ice removal on the properties they built. Six winters later the walk is still straight, and that is the whole point.
