Storms reach Glastonbury from the west, crossing the river valley and climbing the long grade toward the Route 2 hills, and they tend to arrive in the dark hours when the town is asleep. Mjolnir Construction handles snow removal here — plowing a driveway open, clearing a walk so the day can begin on time. The work is measured in small mercies: first tire tracks out of a cleared apron, a mailbox that isn't buried, a car that starts and simply goes.
