Certified Snow & Landscaping

About Certified Snow & Landscaping

Ellington sits where the flat tobacco ground of the Connecticut Valley begins to tilt eastward toward Soapstone Mountain, and the work here follows that grade — broad open lawns on the valley side, long driveways climbing toward the ridge and the lake road. Certified Snow & Landscaping tends both ends of that landscape, mowing through the green months until a yard reads clean and level from the road, then turning to the plow when a storm packs the same ground white. There is one kind of satisfaction in a lawn cut in straight passes alongside an old stone wall, and another in a driveway opened wide and dark before first light reaches the hills. Serving Ellington and the towns around it, this is lawn care and snow removal measured the plainest way there is: by what the place looks like once the truck pulls away.
