Most of what matters on a property near the Niantic River sits out of sight — the leach field under the lawn, the line running out to the street, the grade that decides where November rain goes. Beers Inc works that hidden half, running dozer and backhoe across the sandy glacial ground of Niantic, Waterford and the Lymes, handling complete excavation and site preparation before a first shovel of topsoil is ever spread. Septic installations, tank cleaning, real-estate inspections, a water or sewer line opened up and repaired: a dumpster arrives on a Tuesday and the torn-up yard leaves with it, and by June nobody can tell where the machine sat.
